    Jamieson Brothers Leek Musselburgh Vegetable Seeds


    LEEK

    Allium porrum 'Musselburgh' An old Scottish favourite, easy to grow and very versatile. The long thick stems and broad leaves are great on there own or in stews and casseroles. Rich in vitamin A.


    CHARACTERISTICS:

    Height: 40cm-50cm

    Exposure: Full sun to partial shade

    Harvest: October onwards

    Garden Uses: Great for containers, beds & borders.


    GROWING INSTRUCTIONS:

    Sowing Outdoors - March-April

    Row width: 30cm

    Sow seeds thinly 1.5cm deep direct in growing bed in rows 30cm apart. Keep the soil moist and be careful not to over-water. When large enough to handle thin to 10cm apart. Keep well watered in dry conditions. Feed with a liquid fertiliser.
